One Day
The work makes
references to the terrible, threatening images that announce disasters leaved
behind the human carnage. Anatomical deformity of the body announces the
distortion of the normality of life and the rapid movement of the airscrew
suggest the time which expands, intensifying the terrible moments. The yellow-greenish nuances widen on the body
surface disintegrating it. The putrefaction ”steams” that rise up to the sky
fill it with miasmas that foreshadow the end. One Day can be the unit measure for
the duration of the race against imminent death. The image of a nude changes
completely its meaning when it is inserted in such a context, arising terror
and fear and infusing helplessness.
